What kind of footage? Some require downloading a third party AMA plugin in order to link.

Set the pans the way you want for every track in the audio mixer.

That sequence is now your template.

  • Create a new project. Keep it open simultaneously with the original project (more recent versions of Premiere can have multiple open projects).

Copy your working sequence into the new empty project.
All the clips used in the sequence will appear in the new project.
If you edit in clip from the original huge project, it will be added to the new project, as well.

Could you just make a template sequence and just duplicate each time you need a new sequence instead of creating a brand new one?

This has been there for a long time. Probably more options now than there used to be, but its an old feature. I’ve definitely used the Red Offline Media indicator for more than a decade.

Yes. Hamburger menu at the bottom left of the timeline. Select Clip Color. Assign a color to Linked clips. If you are on an older version, it may say AMA. Then check Timeline Local.

Open an empty project in addition to the main project.

Copy the ACT 1 sequence into the empty project.
All the master clips used in it will appear in the project.

    Does that work for you?

Link to Media in Avid. Then transcode. In most cases that’s the way to go.

What is the timebase assigned to the audio clips?
If its not 23.976, use Clip/Modify/Timecode to change it to match.
See if that makes a difference.

  • You can’t. Which is ridiculous and infuriating.
