Merging Clips a Frame Off
Hoping someone can help me with this as I am stuck. I’m working on a Mac Pro Late 2013 Model with Adobe Premiere Pro 13.0.3. I’m shooting on the Arri AMIRA ProRes 4444, 3840×2160 @ 23.976fps
When I bring my audio and video clips into Premiere and try to merge clips, the audio from the camera and the external lav microphone are always a frame off. I’ve tried merging through timecode and audio but I’m left with the same results. I haven’t tried merge through inpoint as I would like to avoid doing that. Any suggestions?

What is the timebase assigned to the audio clips?
If its not 23.976, use Clip/Modify/Timecode to change it to match.

Not really an answer, but for what it’s worth, I think the conventional wisdom these days is that Merged Clips can be problematic in all kinds of ways. This is especially true if you plan to send your project for audio post. Many users would tell you the better workflow for second system sound is to use Multicam instead, and either flatten all the multicam before sending your project off or edit using the “no-nest” setting.
