How much free space is on your system and media drives?

Those PAL bars are really EBU bars. They are used throughout Europe…both PAL and SECAM.

Smooth Cam looks at the Entire media file…not just the clip…so if you use the same media file in different areas of the sequence, any changes will cause it to unrender.
The way around this is to export the clip you wish to use Smooth Cam on as a self contained Quicktime…then re-import it and replace the original. Then Smooth Cam will only look at the section you want, as it is now a new media file. This will also drastically speed up your rendering and analysis.

First of all…you cannot use a reference movie on another machine (its only a pointer to the media which lives on your drive)
Second…. you need to have FCP installed on the other machine to use the Uncompressed codec. It’s not part of the base Quicktime install and is not in Quicktime Pro either. A workaround is to install the software codec from either Blackmagic Decklink or AJA Kona on the other machine.

The standard iO does not work with HD. Standard def only….so no DVCPRO HD

Yeah…I knew that….you sounded like you thought that FCP was doing a “conventional” speed change

Its not doing a ‘speed change’ Its changing the sample rate.
Strange thing is, I can’t duplicate what you are talking about. I can bring the same 48k AIFF file into a PAL or NTSC sequence without any issues (No green line, rendering, etc). Not sure what is going on at your end.

trim the outgoing and/or incoming clips the necessary number of frames to create your dissolve.
