I’m pretty sure the problem is the ExFAT format. Consolidating and AAF export are broken when ExFAT is involved, in my experience……well….actually I ran into this years ago and avoided using it since. Surprised Avid hasn’t corrected the issue.

Premiere Pro now uses its own internal engine to decode Quicktime files. There are fewer codecs supported than before. Mostly this affects older codecs, that are seldom used, but in this instance its biting you in the butt. Use the original MXF files, if you can.

Yes. The flicker is a real issue. You can use software to try to fix it in post, but it doesnt always work. Its worse if you do any speed effects (slo mos, etc).
There are things your cinematographer can do with shutter speed to minimize it, but I’m not a camera guy. I think you can find the answer with some google searching.
Don’t ignore the problem until its too late. People shoot “NTSC” in “PAL” countries all the time, so it can be done. But do it right.

That would be fine also. It doesnt really matter. Premiere renders in the format you select for final export. If you are getting decent enough editing performance with XDCAM HD 50, then go with that.

Premiere has had these modes for a long time. You probably just inadvertently changed your mixer setting from what you are used to.

Are you using the Vimeo presets in Adobe Mefia encoder or setting manually yourself?
