Not seeing that behavior, but somewhat often, when I duplicate sequences that have effects on the Master track, the effect becomes corrupted and I get nothing but loud static on output. I then end up removing and replacing the effect with a “fresh” one to fix it.

No. It is not. I know of no NLE that allows that feature.

Premiere does not have this ability.

Actually you can do this, but I would still follow Ann’s advice and use the Media Browser, as you have more control over what happens with the clips used in the sequence. When copy/pasting, the clips just get deposited loose in the project window…which can be quite a mess. If you use the Media Browser, it gives you the option to put everything in a folder.

If you want to post a clip I can download someplace, i can see if I can find a good setting on the Boris Filter. Probably need at least 5-10 seconds to make a go of it. For what its worth, the cropped image you posted doesn’t look as bad as what I fixed with Boris a few years ago. Hard to tell, though.

“Yes. Its done all the time. Many projects use archival sources of all different formats, frame sizes and frame rates.
Since you don’t have a set delivery format, you don’t have to be as rigid about this as many would…but it would be helpful to know where you see this being viewed primarily. The answer would be different if this is for something seen primarily on the web rather than on a TV screen. Also note, your location matters since TV standards are different depending on where you live.
Assuming you are in the US, and you are dealing mostly with video frame rates (29.97 and 25), and wish this to play decently on televisions, you are probably best making your sequence 29.97 fps. Probably 1080i, if working in HD. If you are in Europe or Asia, I’d go with 25 fps.
If you are only viewing on a computer screen, make it 1080p instead of 1080i, and use the frame rate that you have the most of.
These are just guesses based on what you have told us.

Have you tried using an Adjustment Layer over the entire sequence?
Put a Transform Effect on the Adjustment Layer to do your move (don’t use the ‘built in’ Motion settings)Note, you have to set the frame size of the Adjustment Layer when you create it. Most of the time, you leave it at the default sequence size, but in your case you may need to set it larger, since you have items appearing offscreen.

Try setting it to Portuguese and see if it gives you English. Yes, that’s crazy, but it has a certain logic to it.
