We use a MBP and Duel to offload media in the field. We’ve been using P2 Genie, but have just purchased Imagine Products P2 Shotput. Typically, a 16GB card takes 8 minutes to offload. We use a G-Safe mirrored RAID plus another drive and offload files to both simultaneously. Either P2 Genie or Shotput allow you to set up naming conventions so you have Project Name_001, 002, etc. stored to the drives for each P2 card.

Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do to remove the echo unless you know someone at the NSA :). However, using EQ to reduce certain frequencies where the echo is most predominant might help. Select the clip you want to filter then AUDIO FILTERS > APPLE > AUGraphicEQ. Double-click your clip and open the Filter Tab in the Viewer. You’ll see many sliders you can tweak to try to reduce the echo. Start by cutting the low freqs and try boosting 3150Hz to 5kHz. You have to experiment because each space is different. You’ll not remove the echo. Hopefully, you can reduce it’s effect.

If you find settings that help, apply them to all your clips. Good luck.

If you’re talking about doing this in real time, try a Slingbox. It’s cheap and it works surprisingly well. You use the Slingbox and your client downloads the Slingbox client to their computer. However, there can only be one computer watching the slingbox at a time. For more viewers you need more Slingboxes. I read an article a few months back that mentioned Slingboxes are being used in Hollywood to show dailies. The picture with the article showed a rack of 16 or 20 Slingboxes.

If you have a DVD printer, usually, they include a DVD logo that’s similar to the “official” one. Our Bravo printer comes with Sure Thing CD Labeler and it has their version of the DVD logo.

I just did the same kind of edit with Streamclip. Make sure you use the Fix Timecode Breaks option. That should fix amy time issues. It did for me.

I do most of my challenging audio work in Pro Tools and don’t have a lot of experience with the FCP audio tools. Basically what you want to do is make the compressor respnd quickly, so lower the Attack of the compressor. You want to adjust the Threshold up and the Compression Ratio way up. With a high threshold the compressor won’t operate until the sound is very loud. With a high compression ratio the compressor will crush the sound when it exceeds the threshold. The low attack setting makes it respond very quickly.
