Shane’s right. If you look in your scene file (in the camera menu) the operation type is probably noted as film cam – not video. Then the shutter will show as 180 degrees which is correct. If you switch the operation type to video, the shutter will show as 1/48 (the reciprocal of the frame rate) which is also correct.

I name my clips as I capture. It helps me organize my edit. If you want to rename a clip later or fix a mis-named clip you can always do that after the capture. Just click on the clip name and change it.

Realize this doesn’t change the name of your clip on your drive. I’m a bit anal about naming so if I mess up a clip name, I rename it on the drive, and then reconnect it to the renamed clip in the bin.

Let’s say your highest clip is Sc210. Then when entering lower numbered scenes they’d be Sc005, Sc076, etc. When you enter the leading zeros, all the clips will be ordered in numerical order.

Be sure to name all the clips exactly the same, Sc210 will be treated differently than Sc 210.

When log & capturing or log & transferring I name my clips with zeros in front depending on how large the greatest scene number is. Then it works as you wish. You can do that after the fact, too.

While I’ve made programs that play in a vertical screen, I’ve never done it for multiple monitors in a video wall. I did it all in AfterFX. There are different control boxes for video walls that can affect which feeds to the system are displayed where. You need to find find what equipment they’re using. Then you can contact the manufacturer for all the details.

Maybe a search on the AfterFX forum for video wall will turn up some guidance. I seem to recall reading a thread about how someone approached this issue. I think they made a composition for each screen then added those comps into a master comp that displayed them as one. That way the synchronization could be checked. If you need to supply just one stream to the video wall, it would be that master comp’s movie. If you need 4 streams then just the individual comp’s movies.

Check out Alcorn McBride. They make a line of digital players used in many museums, themeparks, etc. If your client hasn’t chosen a playback system, maybe you can influence that decision. I’ve worked with Alcon’s tech support and they’re first rate. https://www.alcorn.com/

You can do this in the Motion tab by increasing the scale. Then paste attributes and select “basic motion” and the scaling factor will be applied. If you’re just scaling up a bit, it should look ok. You’ll have to decide if changing the font size instead is worth the effort.

It is wierd. I just tried importing a 23.976 clip into AE and that’s how it showed up. The clip was transferred from a P2 card, not captured. Try calling Blackmagic Tech Spt and see what they suggest. Or post on the Blackmagic Forum. https://forums.creativecow.net/forum/blackmagicdesigndecklink

Raylight is supposed to be able to go from FCP to P2. If you transfer to FCP, modify the tc as Shane suggests, and then put the result out to a P2 card (I wouldn’t wipe your master) you might end up with what you need. I have no idea if the metadata will follow along this process.
