Flash can export QT movies. Although their size may be off for what you need. Export them using whatever codec you’re editing with. If that doesn’t work well enough, you can use Perian which plays flvs and swfs in QT Player, and use QT Player to export. Before committing to producing all the graphics I’d run some tests. Flash QT exports are often funky.

I’ve used the RE50. It’s a dynamic, very resistant to wind (as it is) and is nearly indestructible.

To rebuild permissions use the Disk Utility app. Select your system drive and choose Repair Permissions.

DVD or Blu-ray is a viable playback option. However, check out this Western Digital player.
https://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?DriveID=572 It would let you playback HD without having to author a Blu-ray.

I’m not that familiar with XDCAM, but I was wondering if it might work like P2 Log & Transfer. With P2 if you mount the volumes with the MXF files in the L&T window, you can then batch capture clips in the Browser. Maybe there’s an analagous way to do this with XDCAM. Just a thought.
