Iain is right. Make sure your sound guy knows how to set up for a successful double-system shoot. Otherwise, you may have sync issues.

The first thing I always do when FCP weirdness happens is trash prefs, repair permissions and run Disk Warrior.

Align the audio & video tracks, select both and Cmd-L will link them (Cmd-L again will unlink). BTW to shorten/lengthen a track in a linked clip, hold down Option and click and drag the track’s end. Only the track, not the entire clip, will be affected.

Try using Compressor and DVDSP. From your DVCPro HD sequence export a ref or self-contained file using Current Settings. Bring that into Compressor and use the DVD: Best Quality 90 Minutes setting. Also use an AC3 setting (Dolby Digital Professional 2.0) for your audio. Go to the Ken Stone website and find how you set Compressor’s ac3 encoder properly. You’ll end up with an ac3 audio file and a mv2 video file. Open DVDSP and import both. Drag both to a track, select 16L9 letterbox, set it as First Play and then Build/Format the DVD. If you need more details you can find them by searching the Cow.
