Understood. But the Qio is more expensive. I’m still going with my normal field workflow of Duel, ShotPut and MBP. Just thought if there was an alternative to the Duel I’d consider it. As it is I carry 2 Duels to shoots – just in case.

please tell me if I understand you correctly. I know you said you started with DV. I think it was 4×3 and you put it in an anamorphic timeline so you had black pillar bars on the sides. You have edited your project. Is it still an anamorphic timeline with black to the sides? And you want to end up with a 4×3 version with no pillar bars, right? Is the timeline using a DV setting?

There really aren’t any technical parameters to measure. It’s what you and your team think look the best. A minor point of comparison would be the number of different angle views you get of each set. Those would allow you to simulate different camera positions. As I said, some companies have free or trial versions of their sets. Try them out. Ask them why they are better than their competitor and see if they come up with useful information. If they do, please post back.
