Un-checked ‘Render at Maximum Depth’ on h264 seemed to help!

Hi, I think I found the problem.

One of the 12 multi-cam tracks had 4 layers of audio. 3 were muted and 1 was the main audio for the edit. I deleted the muted layers just to tidy the project up a bit and it seems to have stopped. Hopefully that was the cause of the problem.

Which explained a bit for me, and helped me get some colour back by setting Profile to ‘Universal Camera Film Printing Density’. Still a lot to learn about this but it’s saved me for now.

Thanks a heap, Jeff!

I’d gone through so many codecs, and ended up with a ridiculous workflow to get my GoPro footage editable.

Even a straight conversion in Cineform Studio resulted in horrible colours and long process times. Matrox works super fast, and the files look identical to the source, slightly larger file size but definitely worth it.

Sorry Mike, I struggled with this for too long and had deadlines looming, so I ended patching scenes together with a mix of C4D for the close-ups and Element for the wider, animated shots.

Not easy or straight-forward, I just bodged it to get those scenes out of the way.

If you find any alternative methods work out for you, let me know!

Sorry, I don’t mean to ‘bump’ this thread intentionally, but I’m really stuck and want to understand better how this has happened.

I just checked the troublesome folders in Digital Photo Professional from my Canon disc, all the RAWs in there appear fine – as they should be straight from the camera.

If I go to the same folder and open those RAWs in Camera Raw, they’re all contrasty and dark, with no settings applied at all. How can this be happening?

‘Purge Cache for Selection’ seems to restore the image just for a second. I’ve cleaned the Bridge cache out, but there’s something lurking that’s causing them to jump straight back to this horrible processed look.

There’s no XMP file in the same folder as these images. Could Bridge be looking elsewhere for the colour settings?

Thanks Dan, I hadn’t seen that before. That’s helped a bit, but losing a lot of assets is a problem when the % drops too low, maybe that’s only with the plug-ins I’m using. I can work with this for now though, thanks!

Cheers Dane!

The slider & expressions work great, but didn’t provide the bounce on each character that I was looking for. However, by tweaking this preset and then adding a second Animator, Ramp Down, keyframing ease in/out, end & offset I got exactly what I was looking for.

So a mix of both methods – thanks heaps, Vishesh & Dane!

Wow, thanks Vishesh!

I’ve been playing with your settings over the weekend and had some success. The word trails off well but the first few letters don’t have the same fluid movement as the rest.

It’s a great start but I’m going to carry on looking for something more consistent. Thanks again
