Alexa Footage in Premiere/After Effects
I’m working with some Alexa footage for the first time.
I’ve been handed a Premiere timeline, but when I replace a clip with an After Effects composition for some motion tracking, the colours in the new comp come through de-saturated and washed out.
As this is my first experience with this format, what am I missing and what’s the reasoning behind it? (Assuming it’s normal for this to happen)
Any help appreciated!

Is there a LUT or other color correction being applied in Premiere? I don’t think any Premiere effects will show up in AE

What do you have your AE color space set to for the comp? What happens if you export a master file and replace with that?

Which explained a bit for me, and helped me get some colour back by setting Profile to ‘Universal Camera Film Printing Density’. Still a lot to learn about this but it’s saved me for now.
