After years of screwing around with mini-sas enclosures, firmware updates, lame http interfaces, pci card jiggering, etc., it’s a breath of fresh air. I think even with the 6 disk one we have, the speed isn’t limited by the cable but by the drives. I’ll be attaching a Blackmagic Ultrastudio express this afternoon. This is on an imac.

All I want is a wristwatch iphone. Or maybe a button/communicator from ST: TNG. And wireless ear pods.

I have the nano watch and it is totally awesome. It’s kind of sad that they didn’t improve upon that.

If I could just get the iwatch though, that’d be cool. Then I could call my AI Trans-Am to get me out of sketchy situations, like revision meetings and budget negotiations.

It seems like tech is going the wrong direction these days.

I suppose you could do it that way. Any reason why you don’t just upgrade the whole thing to ML?

I think you’d have to recreate the exact environment that the NAS was in before. An identical enclosure, for example. Perhaps it’s something that can be fixed, like a bad power supply or something like that. If there’s a computer repair shop nearby, perhaps they can get it up and running. I can’t imagine that Seagate will be much help, sadly.

CMD-Shft-G on your compound clip, make come changes, and then option-g your clips back into a compound.

It seems like a lot of effort but it’s really not a big deal unless you have effects on the compound clip too.
