Visual effects editor – The visual effects editor incorporates visual effects into the current cuts of live action sequences, producing multiple versions of each shot. Altered scenes are then evaluated by the visual effects supervisor and creative director for aesthetic and technical direction, and by the producers for review and final editing.
Rotoscope artist/ paint artist Rotoscope & painters artists may rotoscope the footage, manually creating mattes for use in compositing. They may also paint visual information into or out of a scene, such removing wires and rigs, logos, dust busting, scratch removal, etc
Probably Rotoscope artist would be most appropriate, but Visual effects editor sounds a little more cool.

You need to move the anchor point. Objects scale around from the anchor point, so if you wanted something to scale up and “move” to the left, the anchor point has to be on the right. Check out this script, you can select multiple layers at once and move the anchor point to one of 9 positions. If you have move keyframes already, adjusting the anchor point with the script though could cause problems.

You can use adobe bridge. Click the flyout on the presets tab(3 lines) and just select browse presets. Adobe bridge will open and take you right to the presets. For all the adobe presets, you can click on them and see a little sample animation.

It’s a technique where you change the text into shape layers, try and match up vertexes and then animate between the two. Check out this tutorial.

You could try parenting the hand to a null, and then keyframe the null when needed, I would try scale.

Glad that fixed it. It would be a good idea to check out some of the videos on interpolation if you are going to be doing a lot of work in AE, it’s a pretty important concept to understand.
