Is the scene taken with a fixed camera angle where the person is walking around the body or is it with a moving panning camera?

I have used USB capture some time ago with the cheesy software that came with it for VHS capture ( Ulead ). Normaly the capture software will default to AVI and some have MP2 options. 720×576 ( PAL in my instance ) seems to what it captures at. Drop that into Vegas making sure you use the Detect Media tab to get any interlace correct, etc.

As the others have said, can’t beat Firewire for the best capture but is do-able….

What version of Vegas are you using?

What type of audio file are you using?

Also, I assume that when the audio is on the time line it does play with sound?

    Hi Joel

In the past I have overcome this by changing the .mov to .mp4 MOV is just a container for various aspects of the video

Just rename one to mp4 and see if it works for you…

Hi Reid …At the beginning of the timeline on the left hand side immediately above the first picture where you see the Timeline seconds 00:00:00 , to the left of it and up in the other grey area you will see some 6 vertical dots. If you place you cursor on these dots it will change to a Drag pointer shape. Then holding down the relevant mouse button, drag it to the right to expose the hidden section. Maybe there is another way to do it but this but this will work

Don’t forget that HDMI would carry the Audio and DVI won’t. If you have a very new TV then it may not have an Audio 3.5mm jack input. I also had the same problem, so had to get an HDMI out card. Before you get one make sure what PCIE version your mainboard has if you do decide later to get an HDMI one. Ideally needs Ver 2.0. Some MBs do work with HDMI Cards with with Ver 1.0 and some don’t…
