Activity Forums VEGAS Pro When i render i get no sound at all

    Hi i am having alot of trouble trying to get my sony vegas to output sound i have tried many different templates and i imported just audio and rendered it as a mp3 file and i still got no audio.
    I have checked simple things like checking if the track is on mute
    Any advice would be great

    What version of Vegas are you using?

    What type of audio file are you using?

    Also, I assume that when the audio is on the time line it does play with sound?

    hmmm…there can be many reasons.

    Given that you have tried several files, it would seem to be a setting…

    I think the question from John Bolton about hearing sound when playing on the timeline is the critical one.

    Also, what are you using to play the output file? Make sure its internal volume control is not turned off. 😉

    Just one thing. You would have to be dead unlucky, but several of the templates have sound off by default. When you ask to render, choose your template and Customise Template. Click on the Audio tab and make sure Include Audio is ticked.

    A (shudder) thing to try IF ALL ELSE FAILS is to uninstall and reinstall Vegas. This can happen if your codecs get fritzed somehow. But… last resort.
