  • This worked in VP11…
Do a Vegas “reset to default values”

Close the program. Now press CTRL+SHIFT while double-clicking on the program’s icon to launch it. Continue to hold the CTRL & SHIFT keys until the program is fully up and loaded.

In newer programs, you will see a window that asks “Do you want to reset all preferences to default values?” Place a checkmark next to “Delete all cached application data” and then click Yes.”

Also have you tried disabling the GPU accelerator in Options/ Preferences…

  • k-lite video codecs may of over written the Vegas ones which may cause a problem. It is not advisable to install any other bunch of codecs unless you have the single specific one for your video. Best to check the video to see what codecs it is using…. Maybe use a third party application to convert it if all else fails…

Hi Ron,,,, Not sure where to go on this as you have tried all the options that I can think of. The burn speed was going to be my last offer. It still could be the media. Can you get a different brand to try?. Have you tried on a neighbours player?

Hi Ron, it is possible to try your DVD 8.5 on someone elses DVD player. It just maybe your Stand alone DVD does not like +R or could be a bit fussy. They are threads talking about Memorex being not a good choice and having play problem on some players. As the DVD works on your PC then the Disk must be OK….I assume standard DVDs burnt in Arch work OK on your player?

Hi Ron. What template and bit rate did you render the file at and did you change anything in DVD Arch? Maybe the BIT rate is at MAX and a lot of standalone player can’t read it.

Hello Michael. The recommended way to tackle this is to only have the pictures a maximum of twice the size of the project pixel setting if you intend to do any zooming and panning. It is a common problem with any fine detail that causes that annoying shimmering. If you are not intending to Zoom and Pan on the still pictures then make them the same pixel size as the project or just a third bigger. Give it a try … John
