Drop your clips into motion and right click on the postion attribute in the inspector and select randomize. You’ll have to size the clip up slightly to keep it all in frame.

Contact a local used broadcast reseller. If you’re in a market of any size you should have a couple. They will have stuff like this just laying around and are happen to get rid of it at very low cost.

Getting the position and scale curves to line up in the motion tab is tough. Alot guys use AfterEffects for this. I use Motion. You have all the curves in one curve editor and its easy to line every thing up.

You can’t really add resolution to DV footage. You can minimize your losses. See if you can take you file to a facility and have them output to Digi beta with out going back to DV.

I don’t deal with fim very much. Talk to the transfer house and ask what they need from you. I’m assuming that if they did the orignal tranfer for your offline they can use the timecode they gave to relate back to the film numbers. You migh want to start a new thread about matching back to film and get some of the guys that do that alot, involved.

I’m out of ideas. Try a different firewire cable? Do you have a DV camera that you could test your fire connection with? It might be a problem with the ADC unit.

You current timeline is fine. You’ll notice that the master timecode has shifted a bit but should not be a problem unless you need to hit specific times for specific segments.

If they have the same version of FCP all you need to do is copy your project and media and give it to them. If they’re on a different system then it complicates things. Talk to the editors. See if they’ve done what you want to do, before. Ask them what they expect from you. More information will help be more prepared and save money. This forum is full of very knowledgeable people.

    good luck.
