A standard tone generated within the digirecorder is -9db… so why is it -18 ?
I am really confused because i allready use a -9db tone for over 15 years.

    February 8, 2006 at 9:24 am in reply to: a sync vob.avi

    Hi,

Yes, sorry i was a bit lazy in giving information 🙂

What i first did was just copy the file (500mb) and renamed it to test.avi (as recommended
by adobe) that gave a lot of sync problems. The first minute is fine, after that it shifts
really 30, 40 and more seconds.

What i know now is that it is almost impossible to edit compressed dvd material and that it has to be converted. So used Video2 from Magix (have to say it rocks) it can read VOB files (!). And i exported these as AVI DV files. No problem anymore. The only problem is now rendering. If i want to render the file in Premiere Pro it give an I/O error. Only with this kind of files.

i have to monitors, what i did to solve this idiot design is minimize the project to one monitor. I have the complete timeline full screen on the left monitor and moved the other windows out of the main screen. they are no on the left and you can do with them what you want.

November 2, 2005 at 7:37 pm in reply to: NTSC

    Hi Steven,

Yes i know about the 1.7 and 0.9 difference. But is it actually possible
    to see:
    1. a circle made in ntsc (photoshop document 720×486)
    2. used in a combustion workspace to animate (workspace ntsc 0.9 720×486)
    3. and then imported in a blackmagic ntsc project (720×486)

as a bit egg shaped ?
