  • Flicker removal, ringing of fine lines on subject’s jacket

I have an interview where the subject wore a fine fabric jacket. It rings, particularly around the neck.

I was previously running Edius and was able to remove the flicker with their anti-flicker filter. This particular filter’s effect could be reduced, so I went down to 70 or so for optimum results (this way the entire image wasn’t softened too much)

I switched this project to Premiere Pro 2 and all is great, except I can’t get rid of this ringing without really softening the image. I’m using the field options/”flicker removal”. This really softens everything.

Is there not a way to reduce the effect of “flicker removal” in the fields options? I guess PP2 doesn’t have a seperate antiflicker filter. Or might there be another way to fix this like problem like using a blur?

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi,

Maybe you can export the interview with the option “no fields” in
    the export options.

If the flickering area does not more a lot, I would use a track matte to blur just the area affected.
