apparently there aren’t enough of us that need this feature to work for Apple to care about it. I just open the EDL in Word and drag each event where it needs to go, but it’s definitely a feature they should just eliminate if they’re not going to make it work.

I’m using the Kona2. Works fine when using FCP but not STP. I’ll take a look at the control panel settings tomorrow.

I also have the Kona on this machine, and I did try using that, but there were major problems with the audio…digital distortion but not like the level was too high, it actually sounded muffled and distorted all at once. I’ll do some more tests with the Kona.

Here’s a quote from an AJA Sales Dept. post to this forum: “KONA 2 and KONA LS will provide full hardware-accelerated support for Apple

Walter, have you gotten this monitor installed yet? If so, are you seeing any sync issues?

    Thanks,

I had to set that aside when a project came in, so I never really got it working. I also tried to get some tech help from Main Concept but never got anywhere with that. If I make any progress I’ll post back to this thread.

OK, so how do you guys deal with the delay inherent in plasma displays? Is this also an issue with LCD?

Is there much advantage in using a full 1920 x 1080 monitor like the Sharp Aquos 50″ or the Samsung DLP? All the plasmas I see out there are maxxed out at 1366 x 768.

    Hey guys,

What’s the model # on that Panasonic 50″ plasma? I’m in the market for something that size and $3000 sounds pretty good.

I’ve heard really good things about their products from people in the telecine community, and they’re pretty picky about image quality and accuracy. Not a cheap solution, but still a lot less than a Sony HD CRT.

I’m supposed to get a demo of one once they return from IBC. Will report back.
