    Big Thanks Jeremy.
I’d always wondered what that menu was for……

Jeremy, Thanks for your prompt reply.
At the risk of sounding (and being) dim.
    Does “>” mean menu?
So do I need to tweak the sequence settings in the in the Sequence Menu?

    Many Thanks

No mate, I’ve been around for ever. I used to spend a lot of time on the Cine’Wave board.

But, Hey! Two Joe Murray Editors. I spend most of my time in the UK so it shouldn’t confuse anyone. Just don’t get arrested with my name

    Thanks.

Walter how have you assigned the buttons on the Wacom?

Request sent to Apple – I’m pretty sure you can do it on Avid.

p.s We only have standard fire wire to capture over. I understand that FCP will only capture in 59.97fps.

If you want it for a whole program, like for client approval, then make a new sequence and drop your existing one into it. Apply filter -set to – generate. That way you can have a continous TC for the whole prog. Watch out though it defaults to NTSC

Hi Walter, I’m exporting to the same firewire 800 drive that the sequence is using with no problems. Setting are “export QT movie using current settings”
    Output file is: Apple HDV 1080i50, 1440 x 1080 (1888 x 1062), Millions
16-bit Integer (Big Endian), Stereo, 48.000 kHz, Data rate 26.57 mbits/sec – same as the capture clips. (I still have the old Cinewave card in there ?!?- oh happy days)

    A Fair point Walter,

I couldn’t care less what the engineers think, but I do worry about my inexperienced clients who have read the “Boy Scout Book of Compliance”
and may get all antsy if they see a numerical countdown. Also, a proper clock just looks nicer, like a watch with hands as opposed to one with just digits.

A30 sec countdown is normal in the UK with the program starting at 10:00:00
