If you were making a new project, right click your project window and click New Composition,or you can only push:Ctrl+new in your keyboard. But I think reading some basic tutorials first would be much helpful.

  • I think that AE can not understand Zpic dirrectly. It can only understand z-channel by the 3Dchannel effects.

  • How about try this way:
fristly create a layer with Particle Playground effect, contral the “scale” of the particles by “scpersistent property mapper” with a map. After that you can imitate a z-depth movement.
but the problem is that all the particles will look at the camera.if you wanted them to look at the centre of the Particle Playground,I have no idea about it..
By the way,it seems that the trapcode Particular plugin can make a better result, try this plugin if possible.

I have found no EPS vector output in AE,but have you tried it in this way?
selece the logo, extract the shape by auto-trace function, then copy the masks and paste them in ADOBE Illustrator.
then you got the vector output.Thought it can not output all the vector information(for example:colour),but I think a little is better then nothing if you can not find a better way to make it.
Wish somebody can find a much better way as well.

First open the time line, then click maskshape menu, andCtrl+c,after that you might click the layer you want animate, open the position time line, ctrl+v.now you made it.

FE cylinder can also make it.It’s almost the same with CC cylinder, and can be installed in AE6.0.
Buy the way,CC cylinder can also installed with AE6.0.(if you happened to have a install pack of it)
