Thanks for the response. Yes, I did reformat the disk on the mac when I couldn’t see it from the G10. No luck. Since the G10 doesn’t see the drive I can’t format it from there. so, just out of luck with this drive I guess.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but in addition to native (24 &30 PN) can someone at Media 100 address directly plans to support AVC Intra? 10 bit field acquisition for P2. This is one issue that we are looking to move to FCP for so we can get AVC into our system. It would be much like the previous person – we’d have to set up a final cut station just to be able to bring AVC into the system. Can you just at least tell me if it is on the radar…

The native rates are not currently supported. So 720 24PN and 30PN cannot be ingested. I have not heard anything from Media100 on this issue. Also, they are not currently supporting the AVC-Intra codec (full frame 720 & 1080 at 10bit) that both the hpx 2000 and 3000 can shoot. No word on that either.

Just FYI I just checked out the same thing on my HDe (12.1.3 MacPro 2 core) and at +18dbu I am indeed 6 db down from +24, but still pegs the VUs on our 2800 when in detent.

Thanks for the scene file offer. That would be great. We’re shooting everything at -3db too when we can too (habit from our last Sony camera that really performed well and allowed us max DOF as well as we could). This is actually our 3rd 2000 the first had dead pixels that could not be mapped out, the second had a dead P2 slot, so I would hate to think this is another service issue!

That works for keeping the video contained, but it does not solve the relative movement based on parallax. I was thinking there was a more elegant solution. I did just hand track it in.
