I forgot that you were using C4D Lite. I don’t have that so I don’t know what it’s missing. Glad you got it worked out.

    Did that help?

    “i have a small follow-up question.
the way i see i cant have 2 colors on the sweep extruder (i would like for the bottom to be a different colour).”

There are selections for sweep objects, but I think because they are used predominantly for setting different colors for the caps and bevels of text there doesn’t seem to be one which would isolate the top or bottom as you would like (at least not one I could quickly find). So, the next option would be to use a spline wrap deformer on a cube that has been given the dimensions of the carpet (see example project below). Make the cube editable so that the bottom polygons could be given a selection tag to use with a second color. Because of the way that splines are applied with the spline wrap deformer you may need to select the Axis of the deformer to -X (or whatever is applicable for your own setup) so that the selected polygons appear on the bottom of your carpet (as I did with my example). Hope this helps.

If the image below represents what you’re after, create the carpet by sweeping a rectangle along the spline and animate the “End Growth” of the sweep.

Thanks Renato. I look forward to trying it out.

    Hi Renato,

I’m on a Mac, so I would be glad to test it when you have a Mac version available. Have you decided not to update Nota?

Glad to help. If you’re concerned about the number of polygons, reduce the depth subdivisions in the MoText objects before doing the “Current State to Object.” That shouldn’t affect the quality of the text at all.

I can’t say if that’s the only solution, but it’s the only one I could find so far.

If you right click on the “Final Bearing” null and select “Current State to Object” you can then rotate the new “Final Bearing” null that is created, or any of the nulls inside it, without skewing the letters.

    Hope that helps.

Could you please post your project file so that we can see your setup? Since you said “deformer” in the title, and “effector” in the description, I’m a little confused at how you may have set it up.

Thanks Kevin. That’s what I thought but hadn’t played around with it yet. I still haven’t come up with a way to do it with the original cloners, but I’ll let you know if I do.
