Have you tried testing the disks before putting the CD Stomper label on them? I gave up using stick-on labels years ago because I found that they caused problems during playback.

I really enjoyed it. Great message so I thought the repetition worked well to drive the point home.

Toolfarm has a half price sale on Class on Demand Training for Particular V2 with Harry Frank:

Haven’t seen it, but I think Harry Frank is a respected artist and teacher.

“In FCP 7 there is no serial on the splash screen or in the box that pops up when you click “About Final Cut”.”

How odd. I am running FCP 7.0.3 and my serial number DOES appear in the splash screen when launching Final Cut, and in the “About Final Cut Pro” box. In fact, the two are identical boxes.

When you open a new project or make a new sequence you must select a Blackmagic preset from the “Available Preset” menu in the “Sequence Presets.” Until I did that I couldn’t get external video output. I think you will need to make a new sequence (File – New – Sequence) and choose a Blackmagic preset. Then drag your footage into that new sequence and you should see it on your external monitor.

    Hope this helps.

I had’nt properly selected the Blackmagic presets when setting up a new project. Once I did that the external video works fine.

    Thanks again.

In setting up a new project I had neglected to properly select a Blackmagic preset. Once I did that I got external video preview just fine.

    Thanks again.

After testing all my memory and running the Apple Hardware test with no problems noted I took my Mac into the Apple Store and had them run some diagnostics. They say my lower DVD burner is bad and have ordered a replacement. Hopefully that will fix the problem.

    Thanks all for your input.
