FCP 7 Serial Number – Where can I find it????

“In FCP 7 there is no serial on the splash screen or in the box that pops up when you click “About Final Cut”.”

How odd. I am running FCP 7.0.3 and my serial number DOES appear in the splash screen when launching Final Cut, and in the “About Final Cut Pro” box. In fact, the two are identical boxes.

I too am seeing my serial number on my splash screen and in the “About” menu in FCP 7.0.3.

Are you perhaps using an educational version on all of your machines? Perhaps they don’t install or display serial numbers? I’m not 100% sure about that, though.

Sorry my mistake. I did not read your post properly.

So you are not seeing the serial number when you hit ‘About Final Cut Pro’? Thats wierd! What version is your FCP?

I have 7.0.3 and i can see the serial number by clicking ‘About’

I think Pat DeFilippo has hit the nail on the head. We have an education license so that is most likely why the serial doesn’t show up. Still doesn’t help my situation much, but at least I know why now. The search continues…
