Once I have found someone to export the project as XML files do I then, simply import the XML file and re-link the media?

Walter, as I look through the settings, the only place that I can find a selectable pull down menu for field Dominance is in the Sequence settings. I can not seem to find a selectable pull down menu in the Capture settings. However, when I did check the Sequence sttings it seems like the default is Lower Field Dominance (LFD) and I checked my footage item properties / log and saw that they show that they were captured as LFD. It seems like I may have to perform a more scientific test based on the information you provided me. Some of the footage has been in the can for sometime and I am not sure how we originally had our settings??? Just a little perplexed.

    Thank you

    Jim

Walter, I will be heading back into the editing suite later this week and will check that I am using Lower Field Dominance and I will also follow your other suggestions.

Thank you very much for the quick response.

I’ll keep you posted to how it all went.

    Thanks again.

Mr.Jones thank you very much for your advice. The thread was very long and spanded a lot of time. I thank you for hitting some of the points that may have been covered in the thread.
    I look forward to AE8.

    Thanks again for your help

Mr. Jones, it is now May 9th, 2007 and I have just began working on my new MAC PRO dual-core intel xeon 3Ghz with 8 gigs of ram and running AE7. I have installed GridIron Nucleo and the system still crashes when I try to render 1/3rd of a 1920 x1080 (only a 7 sec. work area only).
Can you tell me if there has been any progress made since the last responce back in mar of 07?
Being new to the mac can you tell me which types of programs are running rosetta apps and you also mention closing other processes.
AE is the only program I have running? The only other programs that I see that are running (when I do a force quit) is QT, System Profiler and Finder.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
    Jim

Enzo, thank you so, much!!! That was exactly it. I had done some google searching with the search criteria of “Sony DSR-1500 with Final Cut Pro 5” and did not come up with any relevant info.

Again thank you, the deck is working fine now.

I am one happy editor now.

    Best regards Jim

Enzo, I looked through the menu of the deck and did not see any settings that needed activating? On the front of the deck there is only the local and remote switch.

I am still having no luck with the machine control. On my other PC 844x machine I need drivers for each specific deck could, I possibly need to install a driver for this deck (I would not think so because it is simply FW).

    Thank you

January 23, 2006 at 6:26 pm in reply to: Import / Export problem with M100i

Floh, thank you very much. I have M100i v8.2 and according to the CPG I would need QT 6.3.
I tried to install it thinking I might be able to maybe put it in a different folder than the QT 7.0 that I have installed. The system will not let me install QT6.3, I think I am just going to uninstall QT 7.0 for now and install QT 6.3. Do you know an easy way to uninstall Quicktime on the MAC? I just returned back to the MAC platform after being in the PC world for the last 5 years (poor me – I was forced)

Thanks again for all your help
