I like the ideas here if using 5600K lights in not an option. I’m betting, having done a few large corporate stage events, that Mr. Jobs is lit with 5600K lights. It is not uncommon in my experience to have the house and stage lit with daylight.

    Hi Scott,

I have heard about the lack of TC, thank you for that. I am new to the SDI out with embedded audio feature. Very nice. I did a SD-SDI output to Argentina from Vancouver BC yesterday…all good with the HDX. Very impressed with it.

Thanks for taking the time to respond,
    Cheers,

    Hi Craig,

I did try your recommendation plus and 8 bit uncompressed, the files were only 3GB. I’ll let them see if they can see the difference.

    Thanks,
    Jim

Thanks John. I fully understand your portrait comment, this really spells it out for me. Just when you think you know it all, or at least most of it!As stately earlier, I really appreciate your insight.

I always look forward to your insight on various problems John so I would ask you, why is it that further away formula not working? I shoot with a old D-30 or 600 and I have no problem with this move further away formula. What is it that the stock lenses on an EX-3 or EX-1 are doing that make them not react like, what I would call a “real” lenses?

This could be for anybody not just the all knowing one.
    Cheers,
    Jim

Yes, always headphones. Some simple ones that plug straight into your ear, I believe some call them earbuds. I would be sick to my stomach if I ever shot a frame without headphones and I do shoot run and gun video…some times.

    Cheers,
