    Thanks, yes have that
Will probably go with Michael Wohl’s series. I like his delivery and sense of humour.

Thats great news and more incentive for me to get the licensed version. I’m sure Resolve will fly on my Asus N56 laptop!

Wow, that rocks! Only question mark left in my workflow is whether to use Resolve for ingesting my 4K footage and creating offline proxies for editing, or to create my proxies manually first.

Thanks. If ALL work is being done by just 1 person, what would you recommend as a ‘best practice’ 4k workflow ?

Thanks. A quick test shows that a setting of speed =50 with timewarp using pixelmotion and frame blending turned on gives pretty great results.

Anything ‘slower’ starts showing intraframe distortion but guessing a LOT depends on content.

  • Thanks Oliver. Wishful thinking on my part then I guess.
In your estimation will this ever be possible?
I would think that avoiding the extra rendering step in Resolve would be a worthwhile goal

Wasn’t this the way FCP7+Apple color worked ( true roundtripping)?

Ok thanks. So a render IS required from Resolve to FCPX?

I thought at least basic CC operations were supported via XML export.

  • Normally you would want to deselect ‘Import Automatically’ if you’re working in a proxy based workflow or have added media to your pool first.

Anyways, have it working mostly. Will try and post a detailed tutorial to share what I’ve learned since there are a LOT of potential areas for mistakes.

You’re probably right but got seduced by the marketing.;)
Also picked up Bob Sliga’s set which come with a ton of tutorials and are great for learning.
