    Steve,
That nails it. I am surprised at the high quality of the text on your image compared to mine. I am at a loss as to what is going on with my system or how to fix it. Very discouraging.

Again much thanks for taking the time to help with this.

    Regards,
    Jerry

    Steve,
Is this a frame grab from the rendered avi or one from the timeline? The preview from the timeline looks good but it is the rendered avi that has the problem.

Thanks for spending time on this..

    Steve,
The images in the zip file are blown up using Pan and Crop to better illustrate where the issue is. I then save them, best full. Hence the lower resolution. The largest difference lies in the letters “s” and “k” in “Brunswick”. Can you reproduce the effect using the vegs I provided in the zip file? Again the only difference is one is rendered using VV9e 32bit and VV9e 64bit.

Nope, preview quality set to best full.

  • If the distribution is limited in scope one could put the name of each person that is to get the video in an overlay stating that it is only for their use. (A watermark type of thing.) I.E. personalize each copy. I think that is what some movie studios are doing when they send out advanced copies of films for review. This may deter folks from passing it around since their name is on it.

    Kevin,
Try the deshaker plugin for VirtualDub:
    https://www.guthspot.se/video/deshaker.htm
I have used it with very good results.

One more thing, there is a button on the audio track header to invert the track phase. It is next to the red bullseye.

For Vegas. Put the mid and side on the timeline. Copy the side track. Now there is the mid and two copies of the side. Invert the phase on one of the side tracks. Pan one side track all the way to the left, the other side track all the way to the right. Assign the side tracks to a buss. Adjust the stereo separation using the buss fader to set the gain of the sides wrt the mid. You may have to change the pan directions if the stereo image is reversed. Algebraically – L = M+S, R = M-S.

    Edward,
Do you know if DVDA3 drops the volume when rendering from AVI? If so, how would one avoid this, and do you know why this is done?

I was unaware that I could have the PIP inserted w/o sunning the Sync Wizard. So after syncing the tracks i un-synced them by one frame to allow the wizard to line them up again. Silly, but it worked.
