Type cmd=f. In the window click on the plus sign in the upper right. Add keywords to the list… then search on the keyword… the clips are displayed in the browser. I just tried this and it works just peachy…

Well, FCP X promises to get this going…
That said, the 4k raw files have more latitude in grading than say, ProRes 4:2:2 files would. So still might make sense to correct using them. But if the corrections are more or less minor, there’s really no need to go the 4k files because the end result will be the same.
Even film prints have been known to come from 2k intermediary files.

Look in your scratch disk settings. There is an option to capture audio and video to separate files. If you don’t want it that way, uncheck the box.

Then there’s little reason to render out at other than 1080 HD… so when you send back to FCP it will open there.

Well, you could edit these elements in your offline edit, then reconnect to the high res versions in Color? Exporting your audio then from FCP…

There are editing tools in Color, so seems to me you could cut in what you need there. It’s cuts only.

If you search with the checkbox on next to keywords in the dialog box that opens when you type cmd+f, and the clips are tagged with a keyword they work OK here. If you’re searching for key worded clips, you must have the keywords added to the list (from the plus button in the filter dialog box).

One thing that has to be right is the spelling… are the keywords attached spelled exactly the way the terms you are searching with?
