I am getting closer to what I need using pyramids and adjusting their size. One thing, can you tell me how to fill the entire screen with pyramids so that only pyramids can be seen and not any part of the BKG, and second, how do I go about keeping the pyramids from “slugging up the BKG. I am adjusting var. settings like birth rate, gravity, and other settings but i keep getting big pool of slug!
Thanks for your help so far.

Thanks, I’ll give’em both a try here and let you know how it looks. On one of the latest American Idol commercials the text is full of colorful glitter that sparkles, that’s what I am trying to recreate with AE and Graffiti by creating a full screen movie of glitter in AE and applying it to the face texture in Graffiti.
    Thanks for your posts!

I have the PSD copy of the EPS on a NEW TRACK and I also have the extruded EPS on a different track, but I can seem to figure out how to put the PSD on the face.
    Thanks

December 7, 2006 at 3:05 pm in reply to: Reduction to video quality

Yes, I can open my 1.5 Premiere projects in 6.5 Pro ver of AE with no trouble at all. My render and output settings are: Based on “Lossless” Video For Windows-No Compression. AE pulls the .AVI files that I captured in Premiere and rebuilds the sequence excactly in AE. But like I said, if I use an Digital Juice Lower Third or a MDE the the orginal video Rendered .AVI from AE looks like a second generation, even on segments where there is no effects used. That leads me to think that it might be an AE issue. On my Avid at home using Automatic Duck and exporting Lossless Video For Windows with No Compression I don’t see this issue. I am going to try exporting out of AE some different ways to see what happens.

    Thanks,

November 10, 2006 at 9:12 pm in reply to: A change in video quality when moved..

The problem happens when I move the video to a different location say like when using the video under a Digital Juice overlay. On my Avid I never had this happen, but if I just move the video to the left, right, up, or down the video looks soft like I shot it 30fps instead of a standard 60fps. I will have to export it to tape to see if it records out normal.
    Thanks!

That was it. I was driving myself crazy because I was double clicking and loading the layer in the the c window and any ways I carefully selected the mask and it worked.

    Thanks a million.

The effect is like a spotlight that moves from side to side. The effect I get is the adjustment level moving with the inverted mask.

I did click on the stopwatch for Mask shape and the only thing that I seem to be able to move is the entire layer instead of only the mask.
