I’m confused….is there a book or training program that you would recommend? It sounds like I have a lot of work ahead of me until I can figure this out…lucky for me I am shooting a car lot spot tomorrow and I will get my first chance to produce a spot from the footage I shoot on the Panasonic 150….I will keep you posted on what I find out for myself….
Thanks again Dave!Jeremy Lee

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your reply. Are you familiar with Rushworks? It is the ingest system we use at our station. Once we have our master we run the AVI out of Adobe Media Encoder and it turns the AVI into a MPEG…..
Last week I shoot our city’s mayor state of the city address on my Cannon HG20 and did lite editing in Premier and ran the .mts file in the Media Encoder for the Rushwork setting and it looked good on air.
The file went from .mts (1080) to .mpeg (480) and it looked good like I said.
But I am interested in what you said about work flow so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated…funny because I made this work for me and I think it is fine so if you can so me something different I think that would be awesome!
Thanks

I am told it was shot HDV 1080i60. I didn’t shot it so I am just getting an answer from the guy who did the filming. If HDV 1080i60 doesn’t clearly answer your question please let me know what to ask my guy.
btw, I’m a huge fame of PHOTOSHOP CS for Nonlinear Editors…even as I type this your book and the 2 disc DVD set you made sit next to my monitor ready at all times! Thanks Richard

When I render out the movie, the original footage is lower res. I looked into the adaptive option, but it didn’t appear to do anything for rendering out full res video. On the clips that didn’t have their position changed I noticed no lowering of res. I checked my render output option and it looks fine. Puzzling…

Using the pen tool I drew the LETTER L and applying what I just learn from the previous two posts the movie (a small bursting star) it does appear to track at the head of the L, which I VECTOR PAINTED in order for it to draw out over one second. Any ways this morning before I go out on a shoot I’m looking at getting the timing right so that the star stays at the head of the drawing action. Watching my Total Training DVD to figure this out.
Thanks and I’ll let you know if I get this done correctly.Jeremy Lee
