Supposedly, there’s an update for the XRaid that is supposed to aid in video capture. i don’t know as I don’t use an XRaid, but I have seen this come up in other forums for similiar problems.

You can revert to quicktime 6.5 from quicktime 7, but you will lose your ipod functionality. It’d be best to upgrade to FCP5, that way, everything will stay up to date.

Do you have a component or SDI interface on your 1500? why don’t you go out of the 1200A into the 1500 through one of those? Hook the timecode out of the 1200 to the timecode in of the 1500 and set it to external timecode.

I got a screaming deal on the Dell 24″. It is totally sweet, much more than I hoped for even. At the time they had a deal for 35% off, I’m not sure what they are now. EVen at full price, it’s still cheaper than apple’s.

Maybe there’s a setting in the deck rs-422 vs firewire. Also, i would uninstall and then reinstall the latest Kona LH drivers.

I would delete your render files and start the entire render process over. Does it crash at the same place eveytime?

You could also do this in After Effects. I find it much easier and it’ll also take care of the ascpect ratio conversion for you (square vs non square pixels).
