The recorder prerolls all fine ands starts exporting to tape, but as i said in approximetely 7th miniute it stops. The only thing i didn’t do is i didn’t turn off the auto save. I’ll test it with disabled auto save and will post here my results.

    Hey.

I’ve got the same problem. But i found a way how to fix it.

    I am on:

    Mac Quad Core 3 Ghz
    5 GB RAM
    FCS 2.0
    Final Cut Pro 6.0.1
    BMD Multibridge Extreme
    BMD Drivers – 6.3
    Multibridge Drivers – 6.2

I had the problem when i was in 6.4 driver versions.

Now i downgraded to 6.3 and 6.2 and all works fine again.

Can’t see a deck link sound device in system preferences sound settings.

    I am working on.

    Final Cut Studio 2
    Blackmagic Multibridge Extreme
    Driver Versions – Multibridge – 6.2, Decklink – 6.3.

No, i think there is another kind of issue.

I am using movies with black alpha channel (like always). But in FC 5 there wasn’t any problems when applying, for example – flicker filter or adding a drop shadow to movie. But now there is a problem. As i said in previous post – alpha channel dissapears (stays black where it should be transparent) when I add a drop shadow (not filter, but in movie controls) or any other filter.

    Strange.

I also have the same mac as yours and the same card. But everything works fine form me and i even have 6 GB of RAM.

The only difference is that i work with 6.1 drivers.

Try to uninstal 6.2 and go back to 6.1. Maby it helps.

Do you have Black Magic Multibride or Black Magic Declink Extreme card?

If Declink Extreme, then they have a very serious bug which they promised to be fixed in 6.2 driver version, but it is still there in 6.2.

The bug is 2 GB RAM limit.

It means that if you want to work with FCP and BM Deck Link you must take out 2 GB of your memory and wait until they’ll fix this bug.

    Good luck
