As far as syncing goes, I just line up the waveforms on the timeline. I let my cameras record audio even though I will toss it out.

It should be less than a third of a frame, more like 10 milleseconds, or 1/100 of a second. It was put there as the default to reduce clicks when audio is played back. You can change this in Options|Preferences|Editing|Quick fade length for audio events (ms). I don’t think you will ever notice if a quickfade is present in you work.

    Gary,

Sounds like you need to zoom into your timeline. Use the scroll wheel on your mouse or grab an edge of the horizontal scrollbar and drag it. You can also use the plus and minus arrows on any scroll bar. The increments for the arrow keys will become smaller, until they are frame size.

    John,

I respectfully disagree. I would not want to alienate you to any degree over an issue such as this.

However, I have read the agreement. Since your last post, I have re-read the agreement. Sony does not stipulate that you are not allowed to disclose that you are a beta tester. The confidentiality agreement covers specifics about software design, functionality, method of implementation and anything not considered public knowledge. Any general comments about new or improved features previously made public by Sony Creative Software is not restricted. I have not said anything to anyone that is not on their coming soon page. https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegaspro12cs

I believe that any discussion of ‘failures’ would be counter productive because beta testing is all about hunting down short comings of any nature.

The first thing you can do is check your frame rates on the project settings and the render settings. Make sure they are both 15. Next, disable resample on all the events.

John is correct here. I have mine as a system drive and another as a swap. The swap is virtually unused because I have 48 Gig of RAM. I am trying to think of a way to redeploy it, like maybe a temp drive. The system is pretty snappy I would be sure to check the firmware version on your drive, if it’s not new. I have had to update mine. Depending on the size of your drive you may wish to change the location of the user files like My Documents, My music, etc. These can grow very large, very quick.

    Muke,

I don’t know… I thought there was a checkbox on your Sony Creative profile or something, but after looking around I don’t think so.

Maybe they are watch activity in the forums, like this one.

I feel privileged (and complimented) to be in the beta group, ’cause I’m nowhere near as smart as guys like John, Spot, Mike and Steve. I’m just trying to get the job done.
