I am running Snow Leopard so I don’t think I can dial back to 6.5 drivers. We tried running this machine with Leopard and that was a disaster. These machines like SL. I trashed the quicktime prefs but won’t get to try it out until Monday.

No I haven’t yet. Are you talking Quicktime 7 prefs only not X?

Just curious if this will change the look of the piece? This was actually shot at a high speed rate with multiple speed ramps done in post to achieve some real slowmotion effects

There is a Blackmagic card installed. I need to know after I cut the piece with sequence settings matching the footage what needs to be done to lay back to DV tape so it’s 720×480 DV 16:9 anamorphic

I will be outputting full res quicktime and laying back to DV tape. What exactly is the down convert process?

duh! sorry about that. It was shot on mini DV tape with the HVX200 camera.
I’m not sure what to set FCP for in Easy Setup. I think t was shot 480 24P, if that makes sense.
Either way FCP can not communicate with the camera no matter what settings I choose. I am really not familiar with this camera and formats it uses as you can tell
