P2 Log and Capture with DV Tape
I have footage shot on a P2 on mini DV tape. I can’t seem to get FCP 6.0.3 to accept any log and capture setting to control the camera. What formats can you record on to mini DV tape with this camera? It seems to say 24P somewhere n the screen.

Um wait- you shot on P2 cards or on DV tape- it’s one or the other. When you say P2 do you mean an HVX200 camera? Please clarify.

duh! sorry about that. It was shot on mini DV tape with the HVX200 camera.
I’m not sure what to set FCP for in Easy Setup. I think t was shot 480 24P, if that makes sense.
Either way FCP can not communicate with the camera no matter what settings I choose. I am really not familiar with this camera and formats it uses as you can tell -
Check out the manual about setting up in Firewire 1394 mode and then capture using the 24pA Easy Preset in FCP.
