KONA LHe Crashes FCP Log & Capture
I am on a MacPro 8core, 10.6.2, Aja 7.1 drivers, and FCP 6.0.6.
When I try to log & capture I get a spinning beach ball usually indefinitely or sometimes followed by a crash and once with a kernel panic. FCP seems to get hung up even if you open audio video settings and start changing capture presets. We have uninstalled and re-installed the AJA drivers. That helped for a day and a half and then the problem came back. -

How are your PCIe slots arranged?

As per AJA they told us to put the LHe into slot 2.

Do you have any other PCIe cards in there besides the graphics card?

Have you trashed QT prefs? Do you have QT7 installed?

I do have Quicktime 7 installed

No I haven’t yet. Are you talking Quicktime 7 prefs only not X?

Both if you have them.

I got this with the LHe and the 7.1 driver on a G5-Machine. Sometimes freezed the machine even when booting up, but mostly when starting log/capture. (this is on a absolutly clean install)
I deinstalled the driver and went back to 6.5 – no problems anymore…
