HDCAM Spot at 1920×1080 24P needs to be output XDCAM HD 1080i60
I have spots coming in shot on film and finished on HDCAM 1920×1080 24P I need to output to XDCAM 1920×1080 60i. What needs to be done to the spots to have them play correctly?

Well, you can set the HDCAM deck to output with pulldown to give you 60i. Then capture it and output to XDCAM.

Just curious if this will change the look of the piece? This was actually shot at a high speed rate with multiple speed ramps done in post to achieve some real slowmotion effects

You watch movies, shot and edited @ 24fps on TV all the time. Does the pulldown change the look? (I guess it does…but it\’s a change everyone is accustom to)
Anyhoo… Why not set the HDCAM deck to add pulldown, take a look and decide for yourself. It doesn\’t seem like you have much choice. If the want 60i, then it needs to be done someplace. The deck\’s probably the easiest place in the workflow to do it.

I have a similar situation. Footage coming in was shot 24P on HVX200. Final output needs to be XDCAM 1440x1080i. No tape here just files. What is the best post workflow for this? Should I edit natively as to avoid rendering clips and “conform” the final master somehow into the XDCAM 1080i format? If so how should I do this? Compressor, Cinema Tools?
