Yes! Very nice.

Now I understand your initial method. Simply drag the Out point of cam 1 to the left and then drag Cam 2 In point the left to reconnect the two.

But I also like the “secret” method. In fact, it works without even going into Multicam mode. The program auto shifts to that mode once the keys are pressed and the mouse is clicked. : )

Thanks for staying with me on this. You’re correct. I want to adjust the timing of the set Take; however, dragging the Take to the left leaves a gap of black. The second cam angle does to auto adjust to it.

BTW, is all of this done in Multicam mode, or does it matter?

Hmmm..still can’t get it.

There are selections for Next Take, Previous Take and others referencing Active. Nothing clear about adjust the Take position.

Would you expand on #7? Using the right-click feature to modify a cam change?

And how would you insert crossfades?

Wow! That was so simple. I’m finished already! Ofcourse it was a very short ceremony but the speed at which I can advance by clicking on the timeline, by pressing the arrow keys and by hitting the 1 or 2 buttons is just too good to be true.

It makes me want to shoot with a third cam more often!

Thanks for the reply – sorry for the slight delay.

I got a great deal on a high end consumer model with a 25.5 monitor. Everything seems to be working now except for the problem with DVD Arch Pro. I switched to Cyberlink’s product but I wish I didn’t have to. I tried two drives with it but still locks up the computer whenver I click on Create DVD.

I took your advice and bought UpShift to handle the AVCHD files. Big improvement on playback stuttering.

It does both. There are a couple of export options actually.

Comparing both files, the .mts and the .mpg, looks like the UpShift program produced a higher quality mpeg2. $50 was well worth it. The stuttering is practically gone!!

Upon further testing, checking the box “save separate .wav file did retain the 5.1 sound!

Now, I have to determine the better quality: .mts or .mpg?

It looks like the .mpg has less playback stuttering so far…
