Must help to post because my brain started to kick in shortly thereafter. I decided to try and load the .bak files and that worked with the timeline problem and the attached files problem.

And I seem to remember that imported .wav files have a 1 GB limit. I will break up the file tomorrow. Thanks! : ) Happy New Year!

Thanks! I’m trying it now. Looks like I had to press the Fit to Disc button after changing to DVD in Properties.

For some reason I thought I had to re-render in Vegas.

Will the program automatically make it fit a 4.7Gb dvd?

This is SD footage. I just don’t know how to get started.

I have determined that the Vid Capture 6.0e is the program I need.
Just need to get it to work.
I am in the Advanced tab. I want to manually log the scenes since the auto-scene function doesn’t seem to be working.

How do I get started? The scene length doesn’t seem to calculate unless I quickly press Timecode In, then Timecode Out, then Log. Surely this is not the method. I am trying to do this as I watch the tape.

Your right. Once Windows recognized it with its generic import feature, I was able to select the dv cam from Vid Capture 6.0

    Btw, what built-in capture utility?

Thanks for your reply. I was just curious. The rendered files look great with UpShift as is.

How do you delete the proxy files?

I downloaded Vegas Pro 9 as a trial to see if it would fix some issues from 8.1

I brought in a .veg file and worked on it with 9. Now it won’t open back up in 8.1, even if I reassociate the .veg extensions.

Also, the audio files related to iTunes I imported are not going “online” when I load the project in 9.

    Please help!

    Rob,

Can you fade out the menu music or do I need to do that in Vegas?
