    Hey all

Just completed a 1:45:00 Blu-Ray disc for a bride. She has requested a standard dvd version now. What is the quickest method to do this using DVD Architect 5.0 and/or Sony Vegas Pro 8.1?

    Thanks!

Change your DVD Architect project from Blu-ray to standard def widescreen DVD in the properties and burn again. It should convert the HD into SD and re-author the disc in the appropriate DVD format.

Will the program automatically make it fit a 4.7Gb dvd?

Yes, it will use whatever bit-rate necessary to make it fit.

Thanks! I’m trying it now. Looks like I had to press the Fit to Disc button after changing to DVD in Properties.

For some reason I thought I had to re-render in Vegas.

Well… you could re-render in Vegas but DVD Architect is just as capable. It’s also quicker because Vegas would have to re-render all of the FX, etc. while DVD Architect can take advantage of the fact that you have a perfectly good high quality 25MBps HD file to render from.
