Yep – already made that mistake.
This program is truly amazing. It’s like mining for gold. Coming from storyboard, dumbed-down systems, this is the way editing is meant to be.
I just discovered that by leaving the cursor in the middle of a transition, I can view my modifications, which have endless possibilities and keyframe points. Sweet!

Oh, well it actually relates to the CyberLink PowerDirector7 software which I highly DO NOT recommend.
My computer does not like DVD Architech so I had to try another program.
Anyways, Sony Vegas 8 was fine its just that CyberLink defaulted to an aspect ration of 16:9 and I didn’t know it. My fault because I do not use an external monitor since I switched to PC editing this year.
Once I switched to the correct aspect ratio, I had to re-do the DVD authoring set-up which is just mind-numbing because its the same project! : )

Never mind. The root of the problem was in the menus of the DVD authoring software.

Thanks Edward. I did try the Normalize function but it did no good.
I went ahead and re-recorded the audio at a higher level.
I will experiment with your other suggestions.

Additional questions:
How to use the Surround Master:
Are there default volume settings?
What is the ideal volume?
If I change the volume on the Master, am I changing it for the whole project?Jeff

I captured this audio from a source mini-disc player/recorder at a lower than desired volume. Yes, I could re-record it but I just thought there was a way to double the throughput. The db line shows a default 0db as the highest volume and the only option is to lower it. I tried the Normalize feature but that didn’t seem to affect it.

Thanks Terry. Your solution got me started because I not only need to highlight across, but also down for the 5.1 sound tracks.
So by clicking on the first video scene, hitting shift and clicking on the last video scene, and then hitting shift and clicking the lowest right audio scene of the bunch, I selected it all and was able to move everything as a group!
