Did you copy the project with or without the render files? Last time i had something like that happen, it was because of a corrupt render file.
And as has been suggested, if all else fails, try exporting segments and see if you can track down the faulty clip.

I had a lot of crashes with color finale until the latest version. Izotope rx5 has also caused crashes from time to time so I rarely use it inside FCPX any more, preferring to export and use it stand alone or inside a better audio app.
I trialled film convert recently and it was so slow on my Mac Pro that I didn’t bother buying it.

Just bumping this up a little… It’s frustrating looking at typos and the occasional not-quite-what-I-meant-to-say post. I’ve attached a new screen shot form a forum post as the one in the test forum had edit options but posts in other forums don’t.

Just checking that you’ve checked it’s not just a one-off glitch on youtubes end re-uploading gave the same glitch?
Don’t really have any answer other than to use the Compressor preset for YouTube uploads and try again.

Good call. Always looking to make something more complicated than it needs to be, I assumed there was some reason they weren’t just pre-rendering each of the vfx clips.

Cache files will rebuild themselves so deleting them isn’t an issue.
If you mean you have delete the project file and the backup project file from the Movies folder on your system drive, then your best choice is to stop using your external drive and dust off your data recovery software of choice and see if you can get back the deleted files.

The first part is easy – no, you can’t target the multicam clip any way I know of. Not sure I know of any NLE where that would be possible. I can’t really picture what it is you;re trying to do in terms of compositing. In my world you edit, then apply VFX.
The only thing I can think of is that you create your composits inside compound clips and use each compound clip as an angle in the multicam.

The burn image operation has moved. You use Disk Utility to create the image, but you use the Finder to burn the image.

i always use Toast to burn images for clients as I prefer the error checking but I believe that the burn function from disk utility has been moved to the Finder in El Capitan. I’m on my iPad right now but from memory, right click on the image file and choose burn image.
If my memory’s not what it should be a quick Google search should poijt you in the right direction.
