Uploaded video on YouTube distorting.
I’ve recently uploaded a video on YouTube. I’ve uploaded before using an MP4 format. However, one of my videos has become distorted concerning the image. Everything else is fine sound wise but the image seems to bounce, warp and distort.
I’ve used Final Cut Pro X. The video is 1920×1080 25p. 1080pHD and 48kHz.
The original video is fine and other videos as I say have worked just fine.

Hard to say without seeing an example. Which codec are you exporting to?

I exported the file as a master file: computer format. The video codec from Pro was H.264 Better Quality. The Codecs of the file are: AAC, H.264. I then uploaded the video through Youtube’s uploader.
Hopefully that answers the question? Sorry if it doesn’t.

Just checking that you’ve checked it’s not just a one-off glitch on youtubes end re-uploading gave the same glitch?
Don’t really have any answer other than to use the Compressor preset for YouTube uploads and try again.

I’ll give it a shot and try re uploading. I would export straight from Final Cut Pro or the Compressor to Youtube. However, every time I’ve tried I get an error code like 1001 or 1005. I can’t seem to find what ethier codes mean unfortunately.

Doesn’t YouTube have some sort of “stabilize” function?
Perhaps YouTube is stabilizing your movie causing the distortion?

Is your timeline interlaced? I’ve seen some really weird stuff happen to interlaced video that’s been compressed and scaled progressive… especially on mixed-framerate projects.

Yes my footage and timeline is interlaced. I filmed in 1080i. But I was under the impression when I exported or shared the project; I could adjust 1080i to 1080p and that would take care of that issue.
