Unfortunately I never got the 123 keys to work. I’ve acclimated to using different shortcut keys. CTRL-SHFT-LeftMouseButton for moving the view L/R Up/Dn, Alt-LeftMouseButton and Alt-RtMouseButton for zooming. I may have had to set one of these up in Maxon where it allows you to set your own shortcuts.

It’s not for a shot but rather how you put a 44 foot wingspan plane (C414A) into a 50 foot hangar with a 40 foot door.

You’re right that using forces like that would be above my paygrade/willingness. I want to use a turning radius described the nosewheel’s turning limit.

I may try motion clips. what if I had one clip with rotation around LeftWheel.nul (top level of hierarchy) then the next clip around RightWheel.null. Of course after that second rotation, LeftWheel.null is in the wrong place. But I only need to do the motion twice. I’ll see. Even that will take me some time because I’ve not used motion clips before. Or I may try something even simpler involving rotation around the airplane’s center.

Yes, I’m using the other hotkeys; they’re just not as quick.

No, they don’t work in any other application that I commonly use (Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Premiere, Corel Draw).

Try this.

Do a preview render (set render area ALT-[ to ALT-] then press Enter). NOW do an output of that section to your DVD file using Adobe Media Encoder. On my CS5.5 it looks MUCH better. I’ll be curious to see if anyone else has this result. I don’t understand why it works — I discovered it by accident while trying samples for the best quality.

I just discovered this by accident and would welcome verification by someone else trying it on their machine.

I’m working with HDV footage and animations at high def (various resolutions that are all above DVD’s 720 x 480).

Getting quality DVD has been a pain. While playing around with settings I discovered something quite by accident. If you do a preview render (Enter key) *THEN* output to MPEG2 using Premier’s Media Encoder, it looks noticeably better. Makes no sense but the difference is surprising.

I’m having the same problem and it’s driving me nuts! I ponied up the money for CS5 in hopes this silly bug would be squashed and, to my amazement, it still crawls.

Once I’ve done time remapping, motion and opacity (possibly others) keyframes don’t work. I know about the workaround using a new sequence but that’s arduous since I can’t work directly with the time keyframes anymore.

Anybody know of a better workaround? Or is Adobe addressing it?

Ann,

OK, I’ve been trying a number of tests with a small snippet just to see the whole process through to completion even with only a minute of content. Now I have another problem: using widescreen. But I’ll make another post with that as the title.

I’ll try your advice about rendering before importing if I can’t resolve it othwerwise. It’s being output to both blu ray and dvd so I was hoping to avoid two different versions.

I had the same problem.

Just bought the latest and greatest (well, ok, within my budget) dell notebook with win 7 64 bit and the Quicktime option was not available in Maxon where it WAS in my xp based system. Also the “microsoft RLE” option did not work but the microsoft video 1 (I presume these are codecs) did work and the output looks fine.

So apparently, in c4d v 11.0 on win 7, quicktime (.mov files) are not supported.
