Have you asked your web person what they want? We could spend all day telling you different ways to do this, but if they want something in particular then it doesn’t matter what we say.
If they have something in mind we can tell you how to do that. Or if they don’t have something in mind, can they at least tell you any specifications they’re looking for?
Also, what resolution are you starting with?

Now, there will still be prefrence files scattered around a few places. But it’s perfectly fine to leave those. They won’t take up much space and they won’t have any effect on any other programs. They’re really not worth worrying about.
BUT… If you were wiping the program out because of a problem that you’re trying to fix on re-instal, THEN they might be something you want to get rid of, just to eliminate any past problems or settings. Or perhaps you’re on a laptop and hard drive space is important to save, no matter how small the files are.
For whatever reason, if you want to get rid of any other files, after you erase the application itself, just use Spotlight to search for the name of the program. You’ll find a few folders that contain the name. Erase what you find and you’re good to go.

You can certainly make any font work, but serif fonts can be more difficult to get perfect sometimes.

https://www.webopedia.com/TERM/s/serif.htmlBecause video is make up of horizontal lines, the tiny little bits on serif fonts can get lost or distorted between lines if your text is too small. It can certainly be done, it’s just something else to watch out for as you adjust your text.

1) You should probably always format a drive you just got since you can’t be totally sure what format it is formatted in. Even if it SAYS it’s Mac formatted, should you trust that? It’s kind of like washing clothes you just bought at the mall. Who knows where they’ve been?
2) Nope. I’ve used OS X’s disc utility for making firewire RAIDs with no problems.
3) It just comes down to time. If you have to re-capture everything will you have time to do so? My anwer is “yes” so I do exactly the same thing as you. Nothing wrong with that just so long as you’re prepared to re-capture someday. (I have before and it worked out just fine.)

First of all, you should get a firewire PCI card. It will give you some more options since it will be seperate from the Mac’s built-in ports and will help split up the signal.
Second, be smart about how you link them. Don’t just put them all in a row. Think about HOW you use the drives. For example, I have 2 RAIDs each containing 2 drives. The way I edit I’m either using 1 RAID as the scratch disc OR the other. So this is what I did:

So no matter if I pick RAID A or RAID B I’m getting pretty much the same performance. (And it’s the best performance I can get out of them because of the PCI card.)
Obviously that’s not exactly what you’d do, but my point is to just think about which drives you use and when. If you have 2 drives working at once on the PCI card and all the drives plugged into the computer’s port are asleep, you’re wasting resources. I’m sure you can work out a plan that makes 8 drives manageable.

We can finally stop doing this funny work-around.
iTunes 6.0.3 is out now. I tried out disc utility after updating and it worked fine. They finally fixed it!

I’ve had no problems here, but I’m a DV-only setup here. It’s the people with extra capture-hardware that usually find the problems.

Ah, I see what you want.
Honestly? What I’d do is pop the keys out, use white out on them, and then write on them with a very, very fine marker pen. That would be pertty permanent.

This site has some options:
They sell a whole keyboard for $100 or just the keys for $60 and you can replace them yourself on your keyboard. (Check bhphotovideo.com, I’ve seen them cheaper there before.)
I’ve seen stickers around before, but it’s probably not a great idea. With all the pushing of buttons, eventually they start to peel up at the edges or slide around a little on the keys.
Even though it’s possible to remap the whole keyboard, I’m not a fan of totally changing the keystrokes to match another program. Once you do stuff like that you’ll eventually find that you can edit just fine on YOUR Final Cut system, but you start to struggle on everyone else’s. When someone asks you “Do you edit on Final Cut?” do you want to answer “Sort-of?”

DVDs are 720×480 but with a distored pixel aspect ratio. (The pixels aren’t square like on a computer.
IF your designer is using Photoshop CS1 or above, tell them to start a new file and pick the preset “NTSC DV 720×480 (with guides)”
That will make a 720×480 file but one that will account for the distorted pixels. They can work as usual after that.
If that’s NOT an option then they should work on a 640×480 file. Once they’re done they should copy it into a 720×480 file and STRETCH it width-wise to make it fit, edge to edge. That would work too.
