I’ve had no problems here, but I’m a DV-only setup here. It’s the people with extra capture-hardware that usually find the problems.

No problems. Running 10.4.5, FCP 5.0.4 and QT 7.0.4 — all the latest.

I just ran the updates on my machine today (10.4.5/Soundtrack Pro/DVD studio/Quickime,etc (sry cant remember the version number for the software updates)) and after the reboot tried to fire up FCP 5.04 and the splash screen comes up and then the machine just stops. Screen dims, and get the message to hold down the Power Button to restart. Reboot, try again, same thing. Everything else works, just not FCP.

Fortunately the machine was configured by Promax, so I have a clean install on the other partition of the disk if I need to go back. Thank you Promax. : )

I’ll have to post my system config when i’m back at the office, but in a nutshell G5 Dual 2.7/4.5GB Ram/X800/Kona2/Io/Apple Fibre Card/XRAID 5.6 TB/FCP 5.04

I’m little new to the system, but I know people recommend trashing prefs/repairing permission/ and some other magic mojo to try. Haven’t tried any of that yet, so will do so when I get back to the office.

    Any help would be welcomed.

    Thanks
